About this site

Last updated:

Tama Travel Guide is an independent travel guide to the Tama area of western Tokyo: Sanrio Puroland and Tama Center, the “Whisper of the Heart” walk in Seiseki-sakuragaoka, Mt. Takao, PokéPark KANTO, Tokyo Racecourse in Fuchu, and the Keio Line that connects them to Shinjuku.

We write for visitors who are deciding whether to go, how to get there, and what to book. Our articles answer the practical questions: which train, which ticket, how long it takes, what it costs, and what to do around your visit.

Who we are

The site is run by the Tama Travel Guide editorial team, based in Tokyo. It is an independent publication and is not affiliated with Sanrio, Keio Corporation, the Pokémon Company, JRA, or any other business or attraction we write about.

How we check facts

  • Prices, opening hours and timetables are checked against the official sites of each attraction or operator. Each article shows the date they were last checked and lists its sources.
  • Prices and hours change. Always confirm on the official site before you go. We are not responsible for differences between our articles and what you find on the day.
  • Articles marked as drafts were written before our visit and will be updated with first-hand reporting.

Photos

Photos marked with a credit are from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their respective licenses, with the author and license shown under each photo. Other photos are our own.

Advertising

Some articles contain affiliate links. We explain how this works on our advertising disclosure page. Affiliate partnerships never decide what we recommend.
