Advertising disclosure

Last updated:

Tama Travel Guide is supported by affiliate links. This page explains what that means.

Some links on this site go to booking sites such as Klook, KKday, Viator, GetYourGuide or eSIM providers. If you buy a ticket or service after clicking one of these links, the booking site pays us a small commission. You pay the same price as you would without the link.

Where we use them

  • Articles that contain affiliate links say so in a notice at the top of the article.
  • Affiliate links are marked for search engines as sponsored links.
  • We never put affiliate links in articles that do not naturally involve a booking.

What it does not change

  • Our recommendations are based on what we think is useful for visitors, not on which partner pays more. We also link to official sites, which pay us nothing.
  • We do not accept payment for articles, and we do not publish sponsored content. If that ever changes, the article will say so clearly.
  • We do not receive free tickets or services from the attractions we write about.

This disclosure is provided in line with Japan’s Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (the “stealth marketing” rules in force since October 2023) and the advertising disclosure guidelines of the affiliate programs we take part in.
