Sanrio Puroland and PokéPark KANTO make an easy two-day pair. Both are on the Keio Sagamihara Line: Puroland at Keio-Tama-Center and PokéPark KANTO at Keio-Yomiuri-Land, four stops apart, with Chofu as the junction toward Shinjuku. Do Puroland one day and PokéPark KANTO the other. Both are full days. Book both on a weekend, a Friday or a Monday, because both parks close on some Wednesdays and Thursdays. Stay one night on the Keio Line. Chofu is the handy middle point, and Yomiuriland’s own hotel list includes a hotel 1 minute from Chofu Station.

Puroland’s details come from our existing Puroland guides. PokéPark KANTO’s are from its official site, as of October 2026.

The two stations are on the same branch line. Keio’s station page lists Rapid, Semi Express and Local trains stopping at Keio-Yomiuri-Land. Take one bound for Hashimoto (橋本) or Keio-Tama-Center and you ride between the parks without going back to Shinjuku. Some trains end before Tama Center, so check the destination.

Pick your dates first

Both parks close on some midweek days, and the closed days don’t always match.

  • PokéPark KANTO: in October 2026 its calendar shows it closed on most Wednesdays and Thursdays (7–8, 14–15, 21–22 and 28–29 October).
  • Sanrio Puroland: in October 2026 it is closed on 21 and 22 October. It also closes on some other midweek days, listed in Puroland hours and closed days.

Safest pattern: Saturday + Sunday, Friday + Saturday, or Sunday + Monday. Check both calendars before you book anything that can’t be refunded.

Which park first?

PokéPark KANTO on the day with the better weather. It’s outdoors, and the Pokémon Forest walk takes about an hour on hills and a 110-step staircase. Puroland is entirely indoors, so it is the rain-day park.

Whatever the order, fix the PokéPark KANTO date first. You buy its tickets for a fixed date and Forest slot, and you can’t change them afterwards. Then book Puroland’s passport and visit reservation for the other day. See Sanrio Puroland tickets.

Day 1: PokéPark KANTO (and Yomiuriland)

  • Morning: Keio Line to Keio-Yomiuri-Land, then the Sky Shuttle gondola (¥300 one way). Be through the Yomiuriland gate before 10:45, when the app opens sign-up for the Gym show lottery and the shop and Playhouse times. See the app guide.
  • Midday: Pokémon Forest at your Trainer’s Pass time, then lunch in Sedge Town.
  • Afternoon: rides, shops and the outdoor parade. Until October 27, 2026, it runs at 16:30 at the Primarina Fountain, and a new parade starts October 30.
  • Evening: take the train down to your hotel.

The full timed plan is in PokéPark KANTO and Yomiuriland in one day.

Day 2: Sanrio Puroland

  • Morning: ride to Keio-Tama-Center and walk about 5 minutes to Puroland. In October and November 2026, Puroland opens at 8:30 on weekends and holidays.
  • You need two things: a passport (ticket) and a visit reservation for your date. The official e-passport includes the reservation. See Sanrio Puroland tickets.
  • With toddlers: strollers aren’t allowed on Puroland’s 1st and 2nd floors on weekends, holidays and 18:00-closing weekdays. See Sanrio Puroland with kids.
  • Afternoon: back to Shinjuku in about 30 minutes, or on to the airport.

If you’re coming from Shinjuku both days, the Keio Amusement Passport for Puroland (one-day pass + Puroland, adult ¥4,460) covers the Puroland day. See Keio train + Puroland ticket. There’s no such set for PokéPark KANTO. Its own pass already includes Yomiuriland entry, so pay the train fare normally.
