As of October 2026 the fare is ¥360 (¥356 with an IC card), and Puroland is about a 5-minute walk from the station. Route options at a glance

The Keio Line route, step by step
1. Find the Keio Line at Shinjuku

The Keio Line has its own ticket gates inside Shinjuku Station. If you arrive on JR, follow the signs for the Keio Line. You can use an IC card (Suica or PASMO) or buy a ticket to Keio Tama Center (京王多摩センター).
If you plan to buy the Keio + Puroland set ticket, look for it on the Keio ticket machine. It is sold on the day only.
2. Board a train bound for Hashimoto (橋本)
This is the step that catches people out. Keio Tama Center is on the Keio Sagamihara Line, which branches off the main Keio Line at Chofu (調布). Trains bound for Takaosanguchi (高尾山口) or Keio-Hachioji (京王八王子) continue on the main line and do not go to Tama Center.
- Puroland’s official English guide recommends the Limited Express bound for Hashimoto, about 30 minutes.
- If you are already on a train that is not going to Hashimoto, get off at Chofu and change to a Sagamihara Line train toward Hashimoto.
3. Get off at Keio Tama Center (京王多摩センター)

As you arrive you will notice the station is decorated with Sanrio characters, so it is hard to miss.
4. Walk to Puroland (about 5 minutes)

Directions from Puroland’s official access page:
- Leave through the Central Gate (中央改札) of Keio Tama Center and turn left.
- Walk straight ahead along the pedestrian promenade from the station.
- At the crossroads just past “Oka-no-ue Plaza” (丘の上プラザ), turn left.
- You will see Sanrio Puroland ahead. Go straight on.
Pushing a stroller or using a wheelchair? Puroland recommends the pedestrian promenade from Tama Center Station, and there is a wheelchair ramp on the left side of the stairs at the promenade entrance. Puroland’s entrance is on the 3rd floor of the building, and the promenade takes you straight to it.

The Odakyu Line route
Odakyu Tama Center Station is right next to the Keio station, so the walk to Puroland is almost the same.

- From Shinjuku, GO TOKYO suggests the Odakyu Rapid Express to Odakyu Tama Center, about 35 minutes in total.
- If your train does not run to Tama Center, change at Shin-Yurigaoka (新百合ヶ丘) to the Odakyu Tama Line. Puroland’s access page gives about 12 minutes from Shin-Yurigaoka to Odakyu Tama Center.
- At Odakyu Tama Center, leave through the West Gate (西口改札) and turn left, then follow the same directions as above.
Odakyu also sells an app-based set of a round-trip Odakyu ticket and a Puroland Day Passport (from Shinjuku: ¥4,250 adult, as an example price on Odakyu’s EMot page). We compare it with the Keio set in our combo ticket guide.
Keio or Odakyu: which is better?
| If you… | Choose |
|---|---|
| Want the simplest ride with no change | Keio Line, Hashimoto-bound Limited Express |
| Are staying near a Keio or Inokashira Line station | Keio Line (and consider the Keio set ticket) |
| Are staying along the Odakyu Line or want an all-on-your-phone ticket | Odakyu Line (EMot set) |
| Have a JR Pass | Neither line is JR. You will pay the Keio or Odakyu fare either way |
